G Suite For Education

The G Suite for Education (formerly called Google Apps for Education) core services are the heart of Google’s educational offering to schools. The core services are Gmail (including Inbox by Gmail), Calendar, Classroom, Contacts, Drive, Docs, Forms, Groups, Sheets, Sites, Slides, Talk/Hangouts and Vault.

One of the popular app in this suite is the Google Classroom. A free app that can be downloaded on your mobile phone for increased communication with your students and synchronous access to their uploaded coursework, Google Classroom is a successful and effective student-centered learning platform that works well with MMU’s MMLS as synergistic partners.

MMU academics are now using GAFE for better interactions and collaborations with their students and their coursework. The GAFE suite has unlimited storage and includes a gmail account. Every MMU academic AND student will have an GAFE account to use.  MMU staff’s GAFE email address will have <yourname>@staff.mmu.edu.my (see below on how to get your GAFE account).

The GAFE trainings are conducted by ADEPT’s Teaching and Learning Agents (TALENTs) who are the faculty blended learning champions, with experience in blended learning strategies and online tools.
