Anugerah Pemikiran Dan Rekabentuk Semula Pendidikan Tinggi Malaysia Tahun 2017 (APRS 2017)

The era of circulation including the 4th Industrial Revolution demands the thinking and re-design of higher education, especially in the way we handle the teaching and learning process. The fact is that we are dealing with Generation Z with different priorities and ways of learning. Hence, all institutions of higher learning should revisit their program offerings to be more relevant to the new challenges emerging in providing graduates who can function in the next world. More importantly, there is an urgent need to think and redesign the teaching and learning that will be able to attract Gen-Z through active, immersive and meaningful self-learning.

In order to foster and share best practices and re-design of Malaysia’s Higher Education, KPT will create the Malaysia 2017 Higher Education Thinking And Redesign Award or Reimagining And Redesigning Malaysian Higher Education Award 2017. This award is aimed at identifying, giving recognition and sharing of project best practices -projects and initiatives that have been implemented either at the institutions or individuals level in the THREE categories of the following:

Innovative Studies Program Curriculum
The award is aimed at identifying innovative and rebranded higher education programs (at all stages) to successfully produce graduates with high marketability and competitiveness.

AWARDS:
The Value of Innovative Curriculum Program Award is as below:

First Place – Research Grant Worth RM20,000
Second Place – Research Grant Worth RM15,000
Third Place – Research Grant Worth RM10,000

Includes a trophy and certificate of appreciation from the Ministry of Higher Education.

Transformative Teaching
The award is divided into 2 sub-categories:
1. Teaching Without Lecture
2. Interactive Lecture Teaching

AWARDS:
The Value of Transformative Teaching Award is as below:

First Place – Research Grant Worth RM20,000
Second Place – Research Grant Worth RM15,000
Third Place – Research Grant Worth RM10,000

Includes a trophy and certificate of appreciation from the Ministry of Higher Education.

Transformative Experience of Immersive Learning

The award is divided into 3 sub-categories:
1. Virtual Imperative Learning Experience
2. Blended Immersive Learning Experience (Blended)
3. Experienced Learning Experience Face to face

AWARDS:
The Value of Transformative Experience of Immersive Learning Award is as below:

First Place – Research Grant Worth RM20,000
Second Place – Research Grant Worth RM15,000
Third Place – Research Grant Worth RM10,000
